Locum Registered Nurse required for Operating Theatre, Mackay Queensland. Locum Registered Nurse | Grade 5 | Operating Theatre About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse Grade 5 to join our Operating Theatre team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across multiple disciplines in a supportive and professional environment. As a valued member of the team, you will bring recent Operating Theatre experience and the ability to work seamlessly across Scrub Scout, PACU, and Anaesthetics. You will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of theatre services. Mandatory Experience: Recent Operating Theatre experience. Proficiency in multiple disciplines within the theatre environment: Scrub Scout, PACU, and Anaesthetics. Desirable Experience Knowledge and proficiency in ieMR (Integrated Electronic Medical Record). Previous experience working with Queensland Health Mandatory Competencies Candidates must possess current certification or competency in: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Resuscitation, and Triage. Basic Life Support (BLS). Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK). Manual and patient handling. Infection control protocols. Aggressive behaviour management. Mandatory reporting for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect. Medications management, including compliance with QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations November 2012. Additional Requirements The successful candidate must agree to undertake any of the following as required: ieMR training. Online induction training.
